Red and blue LED light: understanding the choice

Ask how the proposed LED setting relates to your assessment and where the service fits in the appointment.

What is LED light therapy, mechanically?

Low-level light applied to the treatment area for a set period. Different wavelengths, which you see as different colours, interact with skin differently, so the proposed setting is discussed alongside the service and your assessment.

When does a session run blue?

Blue tends to be the choice during breakout-prone stretches, when the skin’s current story is congestion and eruptions. That is a description of when we reach for it, read from your skin on the day, not a promise of what it will do for any particular case.

When does a session run red?

Red tends to be the choice when the job is calming and general skin support: alongside recovery periods, or as the quiet companion to a facial. Many sessions at S.D. happen exactly there: as the unhurried closing chapter of a longer appointment.

Why not just let me pick the colour?

Ask why a particular setting is being suggested and whether there are any precautions relevant to you. The colour alone does not explain the full procedure or determine its suitability.

Where does LED fit in a plan?

Contact the clinic to confirm whether LED is included in another appointment or offered separately, and what the appointment involves. The consultation is $75, credited to any treatment you complete within 30 days.
